Jonathan en Lukas zijn Datap gestart vanuit de overtuiging dat organisaties recht hebben op echte keuzevrijheid in hun IT landschap. Jonathan and Lukas started Datap based on the conviction that organizations are entitled to true freedom of choice in their IT landscape. We saw that more and more companies are looking for sovereign IT solutions, including a data platform in which data from different applications comes together and forms the basis for reliable reports and dashboards. This allows organizations to manage their operations in a data-driven way — without being dependent on a single vendor or a single cloud.

Onze ervaring in het bouwen van dataplatforms binnen de cloudomgevingen van Big Tech liet ons zien dat veel organisaties vastlopen in vendor lock in. Vragen als “Is mijn data wel veilig?”, “Voldoen we aan Europese privacywetgeving?”, en “Waarom zijn de kosten zo ondoorzichtig?” worden steeds urgenter. Terecht, want de afhankelijkheid van Amerikaanse platformen groeit hard. Our experience in building data platforms within the cloud environments of Big Tech showed us that many organizations get stuck in vendor lock-in. Questions such as “Is my data safe?”, “Do we comply with European privacy legislation?”, and “Why are the costs so opaque?” are becoming increasingly urgent. Rightly so, because the dependence on American platforms is growing rapidly.

A European alternative that shows that within Europe we have the knowledge, skills and technology to build high-quality and future-proof data platforms — without the disadvantages of Big Tech.
